My Breast Cancer Support

My Breast Cancer Support is an independent NH 501C3 non-profit organization that provides financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients throughout the Greater Seacoast NH/ME area.

 

"Studies show that more than half of cancer patients may suffer from distress.  Concerns include how they will be perceived by friends and family, whether they can resume work, how well they will cope with illness/treatment, and how to pay their bills.  While it may not be surprising that cancer can prompt distress, what is striking is that distress can affect a patient's physical progress."

How they Help

 Since 2005, My Breast Cancer Support has helped thousands of local patients take the day-to-day stress out of their lives so they can focus their energy on getting WELL.

• Household Assistance: Groceries, cleaning, and repairs

• Living Expenses: Heating fuel, gas cards, and utilities

• Family Support: Books, mentors for children, and outings

• Travel Scholarships: Breast cancer conferences and retreats

• Complimentary Wellness: New patient gift bags and health/exercise programs

What are we doing to help?

Exeter Subaru will be raising money for the My Breast Cancer Support Organization during the months of July and August.

* We will be donating $5 for every new car that we sell.

* We will be donating $1 for every new Facebook page "like" that we receive.

* The last Friday of June, July, and August will be "Jean Fridays".  Any employee that wishes to participate will pay $5 to wear jeans for the day. 

All money raised during this event will be submitted to our fundraising page for the Celebrate Pink 5k on September 16th.

What can you do?

2 years ago, Exeter Subaru started its '5k For a Cause" event.  Each year, we select a local 5k where the proceeds go to a non-profit in the area.  This year, we will be running/walking the Celebrate Pink 5k to coincide with our fundraising efforts for My Breast Cancer Support.  We would love for you to join our team!
